Well for one - houses aren't piled on top of each other and it can take a few minutes to get from one house to another. Another great thing about living on a small island is that most properties are ocean front-which leads to the next best thing....the highest point on the island we have now figured out is fifteen feet high ( Cristin's dad filled us in on that little fact) and here is a picture of probably the second highest point on the island:
